Rabbi Dean recently travelled to Pinsk, now Belarus, the birthplace of his paternal grandmother. He was the first family member to step foot in that town in over one hundred years.  The learning in this session is the result of the exploration of Ashkenaz he did in preparation for his journey. We'll explore the political, economic, and social contexts of so many of our ancestors.
